Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending Food Allergy Bloggers Conference. During the conference, I learned about all kinds of important things like gluten free labeling and disease management as well as blogger information. I also had the opportunity to be introduced to many new gluten free snack products that I want to share with you. This will be the first of two blogs. Please note, this is not a sponsored post, rather my desire to share some new products with you.
free2b
They are self described as premium allergy friendly chocolate which is gluten free, dairy free, nut free, soy free and vegan. I was lucky enough to sample the mint cups and sun cups, which totally remind me of the taste of traditional peppermint chocolates and peanut butter cups, and let me say they are delicious. I love that they come in single and double serving sizes, which makes them great for celebrations and Halloween. They also make chocolate crunch bars, which I am definitely going to try soon. All products are Non GMO.
Fun Fact: Their story began when a peanut allergy parent knocked on their door and asked them to create a candy cup that his child could enjoy, and they rose to the challenge.

Ok, ok so these aren’t a snack. I get it! But I had to include them because their antibacterial wipes have been tested to remove 99% of peanut residue from hard surfaces. They are gluten free and I have had success using them to remove gluten as well, but they are in the process of conducting thorough testing before they make the claim that they are also gluten removing.
Fun Fact: They know that 1 in 13 kids have food allergies and have partnered with FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) to make a difference in the lives of the 15 million food allergy families.

Wild Zora
They describe themselves as the “original meat and veggie bar” and their ingredients are gluten free, soy free, nut free, nitrate and nitrite free, and MSG free. All of their varieties are also dairy free, except for the Parmesan beef bar. I happily sampled their chili beef and bbq beef flavors and they are savory, satisfying and made with 100% grass fed beef. I also want to mention that these are the only beef bars that I’ve tried that are soft and not difficult to chew, making them good toddler snacks. They also make Mediterranean Lamb and Curry Masala Turkey flavors.
Fun Fact: I met Zora, the founder, and loved her story about how as a mom she was unsuccessfully trying to find healthy snacks for her family without grains, gluten, soy and added sugar. She mentioned how she noticed rises and crashes in energy levels with some of the snack bars she found in the grocery store and decided that she would make one herself. And that she did!

Zego Snacks
They make superfood seed and fruit bars that are gluten free, dairy free, soy free, nut free, and GMO free. I was fortunate to try their apple cinnamon and coconut ribbon bars, which are so so good…no surprise there aren’t any left in my bag! These make a great snack for kids and adults alike. They also just acquired George Delight’s Just Fruit Bars and will be releasing all fruit bars under Zego Snacks in January 2017. I tried the blueberry pear, apple, and pear varieties and let me tell you that my toddlers did not want to share. I did manage to get in a few bites and they were delicious. One thing I want to note about these is that the fruit bars are soft, which makes them easier for small toddlers than most that I’ve come across on the market, and they’re very limited ingredient so you don’t have to worry about additives.
Fun Fact: The founder’s family is affected by celiac disease and her mission is to provide the highest quality, nourishing convenience foods and lead the industry to a new level of allergy and gluten safety and transparency.
