Strawberry Banana Kids Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

Smoothie bowl:

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen bananas pre-sliced
  • 1/4 cup non dairy milk we like almond milk
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
  • 2 tbsp no-sugar added almond butter we used Barney Butter Bare Smooth

Toppings ideas:

  • Sliced fruit - bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc.
  • Shredded coconut
  • Chia seeds
  • Gluten free granola
  • Gluten free cereal
  • Drizzled almond, cashew, or peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Decide on your toppings and set them up in bowls or on a cutting board for easy access. Set aside.
  2. Add all of the smoothie bowl ingredients to your blender and blend on high or on your frozen setting until smooth.
  3. It's a thick smoothie, so you will need to stop and stir a couple of times to help mix it up.
  4. Once smooth, pour into bowls.
  5. "Decorate" with toppings.
  6. Enjoy!
